Pre sugaring care

What to do before your sugaring session

Exfoliate the skin at least 2 days before sugaring. Do not exfoliate the day before, on the same day or the day after.

Do not moisturize with creams, lotions or oil on the area that is about to be sugared.

Do not apply deodorant if you’re getting underarms sugared. Make sure your skin is clean and dry.

For best results, hair should be at least a 1/4 of an inch long (the size of a rice grain). Hair should not be excessively long. We suggest to trim if needed.

Do not use razors or depilatory creams between sugaring sessions, as this will interfere with your goal to refine and diminish your hair growth.

If you currently shave – Allow at least 10-14 days of regrowth before getting sugared.

Post sugaring care

What to do after your sugaring session

24 hours after sugaring:

Do not apply any scented lotions or creams. Use only natural oils with no additional fragrances (pure coconut oil is great but any natural oil is fine too).

Applying Aloe Vera gel is also a great way to sooth and moisturize the skin after hair removal.

Do not exfoliate the skin for 48 hours after treatment.

Avoid heat (including saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga studios).

Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds and infrared lamps.

Don’t work out (skip the gym for the day).

Avoid make-up (if you had face sugared).

Don’t touch, scratch or rub the treated area.
